Remembrance Sunday 2025 ![]()
The Seychelles proudly observed Remembrance Sunday, honouring and expressing gratitude to the brave Seychellois troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their nation during the World Wars.
This annual commemoration pays tribute to all fallen soldiers through the laying of poppy wreaths at the Cenotaph in Mont Fleuri Cemetery, where the names of Seychellois servicemen who perished in both World Wars are inscribed.
The Armistice Salute was performed by members of the Seychelles Defence Forces, under the direction of Warrant Officer I Charles E while the Kohima Epitaph was solemnly read by Lieutenant Stephanie Boniface.
In attendance to pay their respects were the Commander-in-Chief, Dr. Patrick Herminie, Vice President Mr. Sébastien Pillay, along with dignitaries, senior officers, service personnel of the Seychelles Defence Forces, former service members, and relatives of the fallen heroes.
We remember their courage.
We honour their sacrifice.
